Minutes from the ICS meeting of September 14th,2014

John Donnellan called the meeting to order at 3:17pm.
Sr. Carmel gave the invocation, and then the Pledge of
Allegiance was led by John.

The minutes from the June 2014 meeting were not read.
Barbara didnít have her laptop with her, and Lou Kelley
was forwarded a copy by her, but he was absent from
todayís meeting. Reading of the June minutes was
postponed until the October meeting.

Nora Olivares has seen Maura Ciarrocchi recently and
reported to Kay, who then passed the good news on to us,
that Maura seems to be doing much better.

We had 32 people in attendance at todayís meeting.
There were two guests, Faye and Carolyn, and one
new member, Sharon.

The Plans and Programs chair reported on the possible
dates and venues for our three big events of the year
- the Christmas dinner,
- the March dance and
- Irish Heritage Day.

There was a bit of discussion, and the membership voted
to have the Christmas dinner at the Outback again this
The chair explained how so few dates are still
available for these three events, so we took the dates
that donít interfere or coincide with other events
- December 14th for the dinner,
- March 1st, 2015 for IHD, and
- March 28th 2015 for the annual dance at Braun Hall.

Joan Moody was in attendance today and announced that
the Harp and Shamrock Halfway to St. Patrickís Day
Hooley will be September 20th at the Beethoven Hall.

There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 3:30 pm, to be followed by our usual
September potluck supper and a program of Irish
storytelling by Jane McDaniel.

Respectfully submitted,

Susan S. Feeley
ICS secretary
